The Bang-Bang Club: Snapshots From a Hidden War

Just watched the movie, The Bang Bang Club. It is based on a true story and the book of the same name. The film follows 4 South African photographers in the period from the release of Nelson Mandela to the first full democratic election. It's  hard edged with graphic views of the inter community violence with collusion from the police.  The film provides an insight to the history of the time. It also shows the power of photography and the risks involved. Ken Oosterbroek was killed by crossfire, Kevin Carter committed suicide, Greg Marionvich was wounded and no doubt Joao Silva deeply affected by all this.
